Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW): New Jersey License #44SC05701200

Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200): Yoga Alliance

I have been working as a licensed therapist since 2013 in a variety of residential and community settings. I began my private practice work in 2017 and have been very fortunate to walk with many individuals on their own unique healing journeys. I am confident in my ability to share what I know from my years of study and experience, but firmly stand by my belief that YOU are the expert on YOU. Our work together is a partnership and you should expect the highest level of respect from me as your therapist.

My work as a clinician is rooted in attachment, trauma, and polyvagal theories. I look closely for the ways in which individuals’ relationships, environments, and life experiences have shaped their beliefs, behaviors, and emotions. I take a holistic approach to treatment, honoring the interconnectedness between the emotional and physical bodies. A strong therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for our work. From there, we explore the challenges that you are facing and craft a treatment plan that is unique to you. Our sessions are primarily talk therapy but you can expect some breathing, mindfulness, and movement exercises at times.

I am guided by the belief that every human has within them the capacity to be their best selves and heal from emotional distress. Sometimes traumatic experiences or chronic stress cloud our capacity to access our inner strength; psychotherapy is here to help shine a light on the path toward peace.

Education and Training

I earned my Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2013 with a Certificate in Violence Against Women and Children. My continuing education over the last 10+ years has been largely focused on trauma treatment and I hold a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from The Trauma Center at JRI. I have also completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as an 8-week Foundation Course in Mindfulness Meditation at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine. I am continually seeking new learning opportunities to improve my skills as a clinician and am excited by emerging research in our field.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification at Yogawood in Collingswood in 2016. My study and experience in teaching and practicing yoga helps to inform the way I think about humans as embodied spiritual beings.

My clients over the years have also been some of my greatest teachers; I am grateful for what I have learned from them and how they have inspired me.
